Thermal Imaging:
Infrared Thermal Imaging uses Infrared Technology to detect very small variations in temperature. Every material has a Unique Thermal Signature and when Moisture, heat or cold are introduced into the structure changes. This change can be detectable by Thermal Image Scanning Technology that is invisible to the human eye.
Moisture detection in Walls & Ceilings:
Thermal Imaging is a great tool that helps to identifying moisture in Walls & Ceilings. It can help to detect moisture issues and their source by detecting the difference in temperature between a wet area and the surrounding dry areas. This is not visible during a visual/non-destructive Home Inspection. It’s better to caught earlier because trapped moisture leads to mould.
Electrical Inspection:
Thermal Imaging can detect hot spots in the electrical system which is invisible to the human eye. It may be a sign to a larger issue like power outages and possible fires.
Insulation (Energy Loos Evaluations):
Thermography imaging camera is used to detect insulation problems without any tearing down your walls. It can detect if there is adequate insulation in your wall & attic.
